Battle for Moskow : Assembly Instructions

The Game Map

Set the printer margins to minimum, and you will probably want to print the two-part map on two sheets of letter or A4 size card stock.  If you choose to print the one-part map, print in landscape mode, reduced by 20-22%, and remember to print the counters reduced by the same amount.

Trim the two sheets:

Tape the two parts together with tape on the backs of the sections, so the whole map will fold up neatly.

There is enough contrast in the map that if you must print on a black-only printer, the game will still be playable, though you may want to use highlight markers to enhance the terrain.

The Unit Counters

Be sure to set your web browser to print background colors and images.  Set the printer margins to their minimum values, and print the counters on a sheet of letter or A4 card-stock.  Cut the German counters apart from the Soviet ones, because they will be processed separately.

For each pair of counter groups, trim to the right and bottom edges of the full-strength counters, and to the right and top edges of the half-strength counters.

Trim two pieces of cardboard (such as part of a breakfast-cereal box), each just a little larger than one ful set of counters.  Glue the two sets of full-strength counters to the two pieces of cardboard, along the bottom and right edges, and let them dry.  Then glue the half-strength counters to the top and right edges of the other sides and let them dry.  Finally, cut the two-sided counters apart with a paper cutter, or very carefully with a pair of scissors.

If you need to print the counters on a black-only printer, there is an alternate page of counters for that.  The counters will be printed on two separate pages, which should be on two differently-colored sheets of paper or card stock.

The Charts

Set the printer margins to their minimum values, and print the charts on a sheet of letter or A4 card-stock.  There will be a left margin big enough to two- or three-hole punch for keeping in the notebook with the rules and board.
