Listed here are all the names I could think of off the top of my head, and since I’m working alone here, it’s necessarily rather short. Help is requested.
Most of the names listed here are what you might call “Bible” names, as these are the most international ones, likely to be represented in many languages. For these, I’ve listed the form from La Sankta Biblio, as published by the British and Foreign Bible Society, and for a few names from the Old Testament, I’ve also included what I believe the Esperanto form would be, had the names been derived directly from Hebrew, rather than filtered through Greek and Latin.
You’ll probably note that there are many more male names here than female names, but many of the male ones can be converted to famale by changing the ending from −o to −a or −ino. So from Paŭlo, we can derive Paŭla (Paula) or Paŭlino (Pauline), etc.
Women’s names ending with −a in Esperanto is a custom we pretty much have to live with, because there’s no universally acceptable alternative. Thus, they look like adjectives, rather than nouns, but the captial letter flags them as names, so there’s no confusion. But note that you can’t always count on names ending with −o to be male (consider Elizabeto), or names ending with −a to be female (consider Jeremia).
